SPED 54: Art And Music for Children with Special Needs



Tiger Paper Bag Puppet



Materials:
  • Paper Bag
  • Construction Paper
  • Gogly Eyes
  • Marker
  • Adhesive Tape
  • Scissors
  • Glue


Procedures:
  1. Cover the front page using “Light Green” construction paper.
  2. Draw and cut other parts of the pattern on the construction paper. (hands, ears and hair)
  3. Paste the parts of the pattern on the paper bag wih glue.
  4. Put the eyes of the tiger on the paper bag with adhesive tape.
  5. Draw The stripes of the tiger on the lower part of the paper bag using marker.

Snail Clay


Materials:
  • Clay (Blue and Green [neon colors])
  • Toothpick
  • Plastic Knife

Procedures:
  1. Get small amount of “Blue Clay” using plastic knife.
  2. Roll it and shape it like a spiral.
  3. Flattened the bottom of the snail to form its legs.
  4. Shape the snail's ears/ antenna.
  5. Using a toothpick, form the eyes of the snail.

Personalized Visor


Materials:
  • Foam
  • Rugby
  • Pencil
  • Scissor
  • Garter
  • Thread and Needle
  • Color pens
  • Puncher
Procedures:
  1. Trace and cut the pattern of the visor
  2. Draw the patterns on the foam and cut it
  3. Color the patterns using color pens
  4. Paste the patterns using the rugby
  5. Use the puncher to make a whole on both ends of the visor
  6. Insert the Garter in the holes and sew its tip with the thread and needle

Lady Bug Stone


Materials:
  • Rock
  • Paint Brush
  • Poster Paint (red, white and black)
  • Toothbrush and Soap
  • Pencil
Procedures:
  1. Look for an oval-shaped rock.
  2. Clean the rock with soap and toothbrush.
  3. For the Lady bug pattern, coat the rock with red-colored poster paint.
  4. For the lady bug Pattern, sketch your pattern on the rock using pencil.
  5. Apply the desired color using paint brush and poster paint on your Lady Bug Pattern.

Paper Plate 3D heart Mobile


Materials:
  • Red, pink, Green, purple, and other construction paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • A long length of colorful yarn (thick yarn works better than thin string)
  • Glue stick
  • A sturdy paper plate
  • Markers, crayons, or paint
  • Stapler or tape
Procedures:
  1. Draw a spiral on the paper plate. Cut along the line.
  2. Decorate the plate using markers or paint.
  3. make a few strings of 3D hearts, with 3 to 4 heart triplets on each string. You may have to make a knot under each heart to keep it from sliding down the string (if the string is too thin or if you don't use enough glue).
  4. Staple a few strings of hearts to the paper plate.
  5. Attach another short length of string to the paper plate; it will be used to hang up the mobile.

    Fancy Bracelet (beads)

Materials:
  • Fancy Beads
  • Heart Pendant
  • String
  • scissors
Procedures:
  1. Cut the string that will fit in your hands.
  2. Form your pattern using the beads.
  3. Attached the “heart pendant” along with the pattern of beads.
  4. Then tie your bracelet to lock it up.

Dazzling Bottle


Materials:
  • Wine Bottle
  • Paint (blue)
  • Silver dust
  • Sequence
Procedures:
  1. Clean the Bottle and wipe it.
  2. Using the “blue poster paint” paint the whole bottle.
  3. Splinter unto the bottle the silver dust.
  4. And put the sequence unto the bottle.
